The National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (NISCA) has released its annual National Dual Meet Rankings for the 2023-2024 season.
A point system determines the rankings. Coaches are allowed to enter their best dual meet line-up using times from any official high school meet. Each time is given a point value based on the official NISCA PowerPoint Tables. The tables are designed to standardize the quality of swimming times across different events and between boys and girls.
Only grades 9-12 are eligible-the same standard as for All American. Enrollment is based on the total school enrollment (boys and girls) of all grades eligible to swim on the high school team.

On the boys’ side, Hinsdale Central High School in Illinois led the way with 6,401 points, over 100 points in front of runner-up, St. Xavier High School in Kentucky.
Hinsdale Central High School is home to US Olympic Trials Qualifier, Jeffrey Hou. He was recently named to the “Best of the Rest” section of our list of top seniors in the high school class of 2024.
Hou is committed to swim for the University of Pennsylvania this fall.
On the girls’ side, standout recruit Teagan O’Dell played a key role in Santa Margarita Catholic High School taking the lead with 6,299 points.
We ranked O’Dell number 2 on our 2025 way too early recruit rankings. At the CIF-SS Division 1 Championship, she posted a national high school-leading time in the 200 IM, swimming a 1:53.63. She also swam a 51.99 in the prelims of the 100 butterfly.
O’Dell recently competed at the US Olympic Team Trials. She swam a 2:07.97 for a new life-time best in the semi-final of the 200 backstroke to qualify 5th for the finals. In finals, she swam a 2:09.21 for an 8th place finish. In the 100 backstroke she placed 10th in the semifinals with a 59.72.
O’Dell has verbally committed to swim for the University of California-Berkely starting the fall of 2025.

No Bolles. This is the best of the coaches who care about this sort of thing.
Everyone used to participate in this program. I think NISCA has struggled to keep engagement. I remember that the first time we reported on this program, a president emeritus of NISCA sent me a scathing email insisting that only Swimming World Magazine was allowed to report on this program.
Perhaps a harbinger of the struggle to find a space in modern swimming.
Seems like only a (relative) handful of schools bothered to enter this competition. No shade to the winners, but competition could have been tougher if everyone entered a lineup
Clearly Keller HS coach or AD did not think to submit. Likely top 2-3, at worst.
Where is this school located, and what swimmers are strong there?
Texas, Maximus Williamson, Cooper Lucas, Avery Collins, Maxwell Stanislaus
no keller hs?
What happened to Ann Arbor Pioneer High School, Boys and Girls teams? Congrats to Ann Arbor Skyline teams and Mo-Jo!
Coaches have to submit a line up ?????
Coaches must submit a lineup. Pioneer must not have submitted.
clearly this happened … No Carmel????
