The National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (NISCA) has released the 2023-2024 High School All-American lists.

One hundred swimmers per event are granted All-American status. Swimmers who achieve an Automatic All-American time are automatically awarded All-American status. Once all the Automatic All-Americans are added, they move on to the All-American Consideration times. These times are added until the top 100 times per event are reached, provided all 100 times are under the All-American Consideration time.
Only yard times achieved in high school meets are counted, and each school is allowed to submit one relay.
Among this year’s recipients, standout performers include, Paris Olympian Alex Shackell (#1 in 100 fly, #5 in 100 backstroke, #1 in 200 medley relay, #1 in 400 freestyle relay), German Olympian and National High School record holder, Kaii Winkler (#1 in 200 free, #4 in 50 free, #3 in 100 fly, #2 in 100 Free, #75 400 freestyle relay), and National High School Record holder Maximus Williamson (#1 in 200 IM, #1 in 50 free, #1 in 100 free, #2 in 100 back, #47 in 100 breast, #1 in 200 free relay, #1 in 400 free relay).
At the UIL 6A State Meet in Austin, Texas, Williamson set four National High School Records in the 200 IM, 100 free, 200 free relay, and 400 free relay.
Williamson is committed to swim at the University of Virginia starting in the fall of 2025.
Winkler has dual citizenship and will be representing Germany at the Paris Olympics. He broke the National High School record in the 200 freestyle at the 1A FHSAA Swimming Championships in November, swimming a time of 1:32.68.
Winkler is set to represent the North Carolina State Wolfpack this fall.
On the women’s side, Shackell was the only girl under 51 seconds in the 100 fly, clocking 50.25 at the IHSAA Girls State Championship in Indianapolis.
Shackell carried this momentum into the summer just down the road at Lucas Oil Stadium, qualifying for her first Olympic Team in the 200 fly and 4×200 freestyle relay.
Shackell swims for Carmel High School in Carmel, Indiana. She helped lead her team to their 38th straight Indiana High School State Title.
She is committed to swim at the University of California, Berkeley in the fall of 2025.
The sibling duo of Johnny Crush and Charlotte Crush both lead the nation in the 100 backstroke, swimming times of 45.70 and 50.91, respectively.
Johnny assisted his team in collecting their 36th-consecutive Kentucky state title. He is committed to swim at Army West Point this fall.
In total, there were 2,102 girls’ and 2,110 boys’ All-American honors given out. California led the way on the girls’ side with 319 total honors, followed by Illinois (175), Texas (172), and Pennsylvania (162). On the boys’ side, California had 342, followed by Texas (216), Illinois (211), and Pennsylvania (146).

Congratulations to the All American high schools swimmers in their designated universities!!!
One is in question ❓ This high schooler has the National High schools All American, but said German Olympian which indicated that he doesn’t represent United States of America anymore so is he under a Visa and is he still considered an All American and a National American Holder and considered a German swimmer and don’t that make him INTERNATIONAL indeed than All American!!! Just saying because it is not 🚭🚫 making sense to me: eijther you are an All American or you are not 🚭🚫!!
