NCAA All-American Frank Dyer will be heading to Baltimore to begin training with Bob Bowman and the NBAC crew. The mid-distance freestyler from the University of Notre Dame has had a strong NCAA career and hopes to continue swimming through the 2016 Olympics in Rio. An olympic trials qualifyer in 2012, Dyer plans to continue swimming for at least two years through Olympic Trials in 2016.
“I think the best thing for me about Olympic Trials in 2012 was how amazing an experience it was to just have been there but how more rewarding it would be to return in four years with serious goals of making the Olympic team. I’ve had my sights set on swimming after college ever since that meet and when Scott Weltz won the 200 meter breast, he said, “Why not me?” So that’s been a big inspiration of mine moving forward, that anyone has a chance if you have a lane.”
“We are very excited to have Frank join our program. He is a proven performer at the NCAA level as well as a tremendous team leader. Frank is a great fit for our team mindset and shares our passion to perform at the highest levels.” – Bob Bowman
Dyer, Dwyer, Agnel, McLean, Duvall (Navy), Kalisz (Georgia), Luchsinger, Ous and Phelps will create a very professional environment for Phelps to enjoy and focus on 100 fly and making both free relays?
Seriously, now that MP is back and probably wants to be in his second career a full-time sprinter, I would like to see one or two world-class sprinters going to NBAC to train with him. Like Ryan Lochte at SwimMAC.
Is there still enough space in the NBAC pool for all these swimmers?
