South Carolina record holder, Nicholas Wukovits is headed to Oxford, Ohio, committing to swim for the RedHawks of Miami. Nick is the defending state champion in the 100 breast, 200 IM and 500 free, breaking the high school state record in the 100 breast, set by LTP Racing Club training mate, Cooper Pitts earlier in the day.

Nick should prove to develop into a strong contributor for the RedHawks as his 100 breast is already fast enough to score in the Mid-American Conference based on 2015 results.  With that kind of speed in the 100 breast, along with the endurance to crank out a 4:39 in the 500, it is not hard to imagine that Nick will develop his 200 breast up to scoring range as well.

“I chose Miami of Ohio because it is everything I hoped for both academically and in the pool.  The coaching staff is amazing, they truly care about you as a swimmer and a student.  The team was so welcoming and made me feel like I was already a Redhawk.  I am so excited to continue my swimming career as a Miami Redhawk!!”

Nick’s current best times:

  •         200 Free:  1:46.78
  •         500 Free:  4:39.36
  •         100 Breast:  56.18
  •         200 Breast: 2:11.25
  •         200 IM:  1:53.32
