Australian National team member and Olympic Gold Medalist, Mel Schlanger, has had a great season thus far. At the Commonwealth Games she was a member of Australia’s World Record breaking 4×100 freestyle relay. Leading into the Pan Pacific Championships in Australia next week, Mel made a video showing us around the competition pool. Check out the video above.

Weather for the meet in Celsius – 13° – 21°, apart from a scattered shower on Thursday ,he rest warm and sunny!
I sure wish swimming competitions got as much attention here in the US as they do in Australia! It makes me wish I could move there!
There is a chance the Sse winds may not arrive . Currently there is a westerly wind coming in bringing down the humidity & maybe cancelling out the predicted Sse air flow. I have been watching this as I had a friend stranded on Lord Howe island due to heavy winds ( 600ks Sse from the GC. )
Within the context ( some SE / west Qld towns received their daily heaviest rain since 1842 ) this is the best case scenario.temps will still be cool 13-20 & can’t change the sunset of 5.30.
You can see from the clip there is a significant breeze .
In what city is the pool for the Pan Pacs
Jim – Southport.
Loved it! Gets me excited for the start of the swimming!!!!!!
