University of Georgia standout Matias Koski will represent Finland as a member of the Finnish World Championship Team this summer as one of 12 swimmers. Among the 12 qualified athletes are four male swimmers and eight female swimmers. The 2015 FINA World Championships will take place in Kazan, Russia from August 2nd-9th.
The women’s team consists of Mimosa Jallow, Veera Kivirinta, Jenna Laukkanen, Roosa Mört, Tessa Nurminen, Emilia Pikkarainen, Hanna-Maria Seppälä and Fanny Teijonsalo.
The other four men joining the women in Kazan will be Sami Aaltomaa, Matias Koski, Ari-Pekka Liukkonen and Matti Mattsson.
The team will be coached by Marko Malvela, Tommi Pulkkinen and Tomi Pystynen.
The federation has also announced a 20-swimmer team for the 2015 European Games, which are in Baku, Azerbaijan beginning late next week. The team announcement, including roster, can be found online here:
