The men’s swimming and diving team took down ACC opponent Boston College Friday evening 204-96 at McCann Natatorium. BC is ranked as the 25th college championship mid major team and the 37th dual mid major team by college swimming.

The Red Foxes A and B squad finished first and second in the 400 yard freestyle, winning with a time of 3:07.87. They also added a second place finish by the A squad in the 200 yard medley relay.

Evan Nilsson won the 1000 freestyle, shaving seven seconds off his previous personal best time to finish 9:27.78. He also added wins in the 100 back (52.21) and 200 back (1:51.46). Coueslant had three first places finishes in the 200 fly (1:54.06), 200 free (1.44.17) and 100 fly (51.08).

Peter Gallino and Raislan Aiken provided a 1-2 finish for both the 1 and 3 meter dives. David Gallino added a third place finish in the 1 meter dive.

Notes

  • Danny Knoll showcased his speed, winning both the 50 (21.53) and 100 (46.48) freestyles.
  • The Red Foxes demonstrated their depth, winning 14 of their 16 events.
  • Marist had a 1-2-3 finish in the 1000 and 500 free.
