18-Year-Old Luke Whitlock was one of the more surprising athletes to punch his ticket to Paris last week in Indianapolis. After taking the top seed in the 400 free prelims but finishing 5th in the final, the Indiana native executed an excellent race plan in the 800 free. Whitlock swam on Bobby Finke’s feet for most of the race and even gained on the defending Olympic champion over the last 50 meters.
This interview occurred on Day 4 of the Olympic Trials (Tuesday, June 18, 2024).
US mid d and d free is on the rise
I just knew that Luke was gonna make the Olympic team. I don’t know what made me think that but I called it
How is Bronny going to adapt to the NBA? Will it be too much pressure to play with you?
I heard there’s already drama since Bronny’s coworker is rumored to be in a relationship with his mom
Sounds a lot like Delonte West
Finally getting some attention. With Whitlock, American men’s distance free is in good hands in the future.
You have got to be his mom. I don’t think I’ve seen you comment on anything but him and your dislike for assorted men’s distance swimmers
Luke’s real mom here. Sorry to disappoint, but I’m not swimmom.
Word on the street is that Lukey poo is the hottest man alive
100% off topic for my american friends (I’m from Italy).
What do you value the most 1,2,3 : NCAA title, american record (LC)
or being an olympian ? Just very curious, thanks in advance.
1. Olympian
2. American Record
3. NCAA title
I guess if you hold US record then it’s a big probability that you are an Olympian, those records are ridiculous.
Olympian, by far. But that’s every four years- and you can only swim the race in front of you.
Next year is 2025. Whether you’re an Olympian or not— go win the NCAA title and set an American record!
Eh NCAAs are boof, who cares about the short bath.
