Louisville Deepens Breaststroke Bench with Verbal from Morgan Friesen

Greeley, Colorado’s Morgan Friesen has given her verbal accord to the University of Louisville for the 2017-18 season.

“I am happy to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Louisville as of last Thursday, September 15th.  I am super excited to be a Cardinal and can’t wait to be a part of an amazing team!”

A senior at Windsor High School, Friesen is a three-time Colorado 4A state champion and state record-holder in the 100 breast (2014-2016) and reigning state champion in the 200 IM (2016). She achieved All-American status with all four swims. Moreover, she is a two-time Academic All American (2015-2016).

Friesen swims year-round for Loveland Swim Club with coach Jim Nickell. She competed at 2016 U.S Olympic Trials in the 100 and 200 breast. Her top times include.
