amazing how much greeg’s and gator’s reserves are lasting..
Is he not training with Salo? A real journalist would have contacted Salo and asked how often he is practicing.
There’s absolutely no need to attack our authors here. It’s a well known fact that people don’t always respond to requests for comment, so you don’t know if the journalist already has contacted him. Aside from that, there’s not much more you can do than ask the athletes directly. If you’re not happy with the response they give, it isn’t the fault of the journalist.
Please don’t use unnecessary criticism where it’s completely uncalled for. It’s not appreciated and we are all just doing our jobs.
His interview skills are very cringeworthy.
It’s not an excuse- it’s the truth. He’s got a newborn. Probably doesn’t get much sleep. He has time. The time off was also less wear and tear on a mature swimming body. I think that even “out of shape” he will swim fast enough to get a top 4 USA ranking tonight.
I guess 1:54 is safe
Needs to leave LA if he is going to still swim
It’s only logical that Ryan currently doesn’t train at 100%. He probably needs to mentally and physically recover from Rio and the training leading up to it. He has next couple of years to make the national team and swim his way to the top of the international standings. Keep up the work!
I really really really want to believe that he’s being honest and not training, but I really don’t believe it. I hope he gets serious about swimming again, but I feel like he will just linger with mediocre times for the next little while and then give up. I hope I’m wrong though; top tier lochte is great for the sport!
