The Liberty Swimming & Diving team has announced its 2024-25 schedule, highlighted by a trip to Air Force and a cancer awareness meet at Liberty Natatorium against Tulane.
The Lady Flames, under the direction of 15th-year Head Coach Jake Shellenberger, won the 2024 ASUN Swimming & Diving Championships, capturing their sixth straight conference title.
Lynchburg area swimming & diving fans will have several opportunities to see the Lady Flames in action at the Liberty Natatorium. Liberty opens the schedule with an exhibition meet against University of Lynchburg on Sept. 27.
The Lady Flames open the regular season at Air Force on Oct. 11-12. It will mark the team’s first-ever trip to the Air Force Academy, while the Cadets competed in the 2023 TYR ’85 Invite at Liberty Natatorium.
Liberty’s first home meet of the season will see Tulane visit Liberty Natatorium, Oct. 18-19. That meet will serve as the team’s cancer awareness meet, raising funds and awareness for the fight against cancer.
The following week, Liberty will host James Madison in a dual meet. Then, the Lady Flames compete at Campbell on Nov. 2.
Liberty will host the sixth-annual TYR ’85 Invite, Nov. 22-24 at Liberty Natatorium.
The month of January features a meet at East Carolina (Jan. 17-18) before the Lady Flames host Campbell and UNC Asheville for Senior Weekend, Jan. 31 through Feb. 1.
The Lady Flames will compete in the 2025 ASUN Swimming & Diving Championships, held Feb. 19-22 at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center in Knoxville, Tenn.
The 2025 NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships will be hosted in Federal Way, Wash., March 19-22.
