PHILADELPHIA – La Salle University head men’s and women’s swimming & diving coach Jamie Platt announced the upcoming 2018-19 schedule for the swimming and diving programs on Monday.

The swimmers will open the year on Saturday, Oct. 13 with the Philly Relays at Kirk Pool, while the divers will take a short trip that same day to West Chester University.

“The start of the season is always a special time,” Platt said. “Each year we put together a schedule full of opportunities and challenges. This year we have a schedule that will allow for both while investing in our student athletes.”

After opening day, La Salle hosts a dual meet with Drexel on Oct. 20, before the Atlantic 10 Classic in Geneva, Ohio on Oct. 27-28. The women square off against A-10 member Rhode Island on Friday, Nov. 2., before both teams entertain Penn on Wednesday, Nov. 7.

A tri-meet featuring Delaware and Rider will be held in Newark, Del., on Nov. 10, leading into the Bucknell Invitational on Nov. 16-18. The final competition of the fall semester will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 5 versus Lehigh at Emmaus High School.

The new year brings four straight dual meets, beginning with a city matchup at Villanova on Jan. 16. Back-to-back home meets against Atlantic 10 rival Fordham (Jan. 19) and Loyola (Md.) (Jan. 21) precede the final dual of the season at Mount St. Mary’s on Jan. 26.

The Villanova Sprint Fest on Feb. 2 is the final preparation before Atlantic 10 Championships on Feb. 20-23 in Geneva, Ohio.  CSCAA Invitational and NCAA Championships will be hosted by the University of Texas over the final two weeks of March.
