Lakeside Swim Team member Hannah Fuchs has verbally committed to swim for Miami University (OH) for the 2016-17 season. The Louisville native was a two-time Kentucky High School finalist for Sacred Heart Academy, finishing 7th in the 200 IM and 8th in the 100 breaststroke events at the 2015 meet. Fuchs also competed at the 2015 Indiana NCSA Summer Championships, where she took on a monster schedule of the 50m/100m/200m backstroke, 50m/100m/200m breaststroke and 200m IM/400m IM events.
Best SCY times for Fuchs include:
100y breaststroke – 1:04.97
200y breaststroke – 2:19.46
200y IM – 2:04.98
400y IM – 4:27.77
Her 200y breast, 200y IM and 400y IM best times would have landed Fuchs in the B-Final of each event at the 2015 Mid-American Conference Championships. With RedHawk IMers Shannon Ahearn and Christina Favia both graduating at the end of this year, Fuchs can look to make a first-year impact within the team and the conference.
Excited to announce I have committed to swim for Miami University! I can’t wait to spend the next four years as a Redhawk! Love and honor❤️
