EASTON, Pa. – James Dailey, head coach of the Lafayette swimming and diving program, has added Nicole Palmasano full time to the staff.

“I am very excited to announce the hiring of our program’s first full time assistant, Nicole Palmasano,” says Dailey. “Nicole brings a wealth of experience and a desire to excel to a program that she has helped create over the last three years.”

“Her desire to see the student-athletes succeed in and out of the pool is evident every day. Our team continues its strong tradition of academic excellence achieving several Lafayette College honor’s convocation recognition, Patriot League Scholar Athlete and team academic recognition, departmental academic awards and CSCAA Team Academic All American every year. Athletically Nicole has been a part of 11 school records many of which were broken more than once.”

“Nicole was instrumental in receiving commitments from 28 student-athletes in the class of 2025. That was no easy task as all NCAA Division I institutions were in a recruiting Dead Period that lasted more than a year. No program was able to allow visitations to campus and the coaching members of the coaching staff weren’t allowed to leave campus to recruit. Quality social media posting and positive communication allowed us to sign the deepest and most talented class in my 29 years at Lafayette.”

“I’m looking forward to her continued commitment and dedication to the program. We have been very successful the last three years with Nicole as a part time assistant. I can only imagine our future achievements with her as a full time assistant.”
