Germans Marco Koch, Alexandra Wenk and Hungarians David and Evelyn Verraszto all took home multiple gold from the International Meeting of Uster.
On day one of the short course competition Koch took the 100 breaststroke in a time of 58.72. He followed that up by nipping Verraszto in the 200 butterfly taking the event in a time of 1:56.48 followed by Verraszto who posted a 1:56.58.
On day two Koch won the 200 breaststroke with ease finishing in a time of 2:06.36.
Wenk came home with three gold. On the first day she won the 100 freestyle (55.04) and the 200 IM (2:12.48). She returned to the pool on the second day to collected her third win the in the 100 butterfly (58.84).
Along with picking up the silver in the 200 butterfly David Verraszto won the 200 IM (1:58.05). He broke his own meet record in the 400 IM winning the event in a time of 4:07.99 beating the time of 4:08.04 which he posted in 2011.
Evelyn Verraszto did her damage on the second day of competition putting a challenging double together. She first won the women’s 200 freestyle in a time of 1:58.93 and in the very next event took the 400 IM in a time of 4:41.49.
Italian Illaria Scarcella swept the women’s breaststroke events posting a 1:07.35 in the 100 and a 2:26.31 in the 200.
Alexandre Haldemann of Switzerland took both the 100 (48.31) and 200 freestyle (1:45.28) while Italian Margherita Panziera won the 200 backstroke (2:08.23) and the 400 freestyle (4:09.01)
