Kirstie Crook Heads to Ilinois State

Illinois State Redbirds are welcoming Kirstie Crook to the women’s swimming and diving team next season.  Crook hails from Missouri, where she swims for both Parkway South High School and her club team, Parkway Swim Club.

Crook swam the 100y freestyle (55.90) at the 2013 Missouri High School State Championships, as well as the 200y freestyle, where her best time of 1:58.98 earned her fifthteenth place.  Her best times across key events are as follows:

500y freestyle – 5:27.61
200y backstroke – 2:12.66
100y butterfly – 1:00.96
200y butterfly – 2:13.84
400y IM – 4:51.66

The Redbirds list eleven seniors on their 2014-15 season’s roster, therefore, Crook should add some solid freshman ammunition to help this Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) maintain its well-rounded swimmer arsenal.
