The senior based out of New Jersey back off of her blistering front-half speed from prelims, but still was able to net overall a faster time in finals. This is the same pattern she held at last year’s NCAA Championships, where a little more control over the first half of the race left her more for the end. At NCAA’s last year, she actually did the same thing in the 200 fly – faster in the morning on her opening 100 yards, and a little slower in finals.
Worrell will finish her individual events on Friday in either the 200 fly or the 100 free. She’s currently entered in both, though will only be able to swim one, and is the 4th seed in either event.
