Kathleen Dawson of Scotland put together a strong morning swim in the women’s 100 back, posting a time of 57.17 to break her own national record and qualify 6th overall for tonight’s semi-final. She broke her previous record of 57.66 set at the BUCS Short Course Swimming Championships in November.

Dawson is slated to swim the 200 back later in the week, another event in which she broke the Scottish record last month, clocking 2:06.05.
