Not just Soccer – Brazilians on top in FINA Open Water Swimming World Cup Setubal Portugal

While a lot of the sporting world was focused on Brazil’s last minute win over Chile in the FIFA World Cup, Ana Marcela Cuhna was toping the podium at the latest stop on the FINA Open Water World Cup in Portugal.  Cuhna completed the race in 2:03:52.2 over her teammate Poliana Okimoto 2:03:54.4.   Italy’s Martina Grimalidi was 3rd 2:04:00.7.   American finishes included Eva Fabian in 6th – 2:04:13.4, Christine Jennings 7th – 2:05.22.6, and Haley Anderson 19th – 2:06.13.2.

In the men’s race is was Australia’s Jarrod Poort out first 1:52:06.0, just ahead of Brazil’s Allan do Carmo 1:52.07.1.  Third was the German open water veteran Thomas Lurz 1:52:07.5.

Some games are hard to watch, but others…like Netherlands X Mexico…. Mexico winning till 87minute and BOOM!2×1 for Netherlands in 6 minutes.
