Cumming, Georgia-native Jack Dalmolin is headed home. After a year at Arizona State University, he has elected to transfer to the University of Georgia for 2018-19.
“I’m very excited to announce my decision to transfer to swim at the University of Georgia! Thankful for a great year at ASU but I couldn’t be more thrilled to take this next step in my life as a Bulldog! Can’t wait to be in Athens #CommitToTheG”

Wow, he’s a good breastroker
Waiting for the “jack… ASU…. Indiana… transfer!!!” comments…
Sorry — I’m traveling and have been tied up. I’ll do better next time.
Wow, The improvements he made at ASU were quite incredible. Dont see how anyone in their right mind could leave after the year he had. Guess only time will tell if the improvements continue…..
Possibly homesick?
There is a lot more to college than swimming fast. Georgia is closer to home, has in state tuition, is a better school. He may have not liked his program at asu academically, not gottten along with the team well. It really could be anything, how fast someone swims doesn’t tell you how much they like the school
Agree…often home state schools pass kids over. They go out of state and get faster then have the benefit of transferring w/ in state tuition. If all athletes got in state tuition, transfers would drop drastically. A good example of why the NCAA has NO right to limit who can transfer by grade point. Something currently under consideration and discriminatory to athletes who’s families have have unforeseen issues arise…change if academic interest, financial, ailing family member etc.
The only real transfer penalties now are within conference. So no problem going from ASU to UGA for the athlete in this example.
