The International Paralympic Committee will be offering a live streaming of four sports which includes swimming from the 2015 Toronto Parapan American Games.
The games will be held August 8-15 in Toronto at the new Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre where the Canadian World Championship swimming trials and Pan American Games were both held.
With a total of 116 medals on the line for swimming, plenty of top competitors will be present at the Parapan American Games.
One of the biggest story lines in swimming at the games will be Brazil’s Daniel Dias and his quest to repeat his golden performance from 2011. At the 2011 Parapan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, Dias won 10 gold medals.
Dias is coming off the 2015 IPC World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland where he came home with two gold medals including an individual gold in the 50m backstroke.
Dias won’t be the only superstar there however, famed Canadian Benoit Huot will be competing at the games and looking to add to his medal tally.
Although Huot is one of the most winningest Paralympic swimmers in the history of the sport, Huot has never won a Parapan American medal.
Adding a Parapan American medal to his collection of 19 Paralympic medals and three IPC World Championship medals will just add more luster to his already impressive career.
