Abbey Weitzeil of Saugus talks with Anne Lepesant about high school swimming vs club swimming, which has been a hot button issue in the Sunshine State for years, but seems to be coming to a head in 2014. She also discusses her national public high school records at CIF-SS Division 1 Championships, where she was very happy with her 50 but wanted a little more in the 100.
Weitzeil broke the 50 free with 21.98 and the 100 with 47.91. Then she re-broke the 100 with a 47.82 leadoff in Saugus’s 4×100 free relay.
Wow! She wanted a 46 in the 100 free?
Big goals.
It will be for next SCY season.
I’ve found the 50 free race video.
I didn’t know she swam straight-arm freestyle.
