More than 1400 swimmers from 26 nations competed at the ISM 2016. The ISM probably is the biggest swim clubs event in Germany. The evening finals of the 50 m sprint distances are swum under spotlight and this always creates a special atmosphere at one of the world’s fastest pools, the “SSE Europasportpark”.

Laszlo Cseh improved the meet records in the 200 m and 400 m IM, the 50 m and 100 m butterfly.  “I’am very satisfied with my results here in Berlin. Every race in this Olympic season is important. I’am on a good way.” summarized the World Champion his performances at the German swim meet.

Sarah Vasey and Jessica Fullalove from Great Britain added each two meet records: Vasey succeeded in the 50 m and 100 m  breaststroke. Fullalove touched the wall first with new meet records in the 50 m and 100 m backstroke.

This is a fantastic competition. I cannot say enough good things about it. I am really looking forward to being able to take a team back there again. Amazing facility, superior organization and planning, did I say amazing facility? It is so amazing that it deserves it to be said again. Eindhoven is better. Dubai is better. Not much else. The level of competition is sky-high and best: it fits a broad age range. These folk do it up proper good, well worth the trip.
