High School Musical – AussieStyle (Video)

The 2016 Olympic Games may be over, but the Paralympic Games are just about to get started in Rio de Janeiro. The Paralympic Village opened its doors to the world’s Paralympic athletes this morning, but not before nations’ contingencies got their pre-competition training work done at various staging camps around the world.

For Australia, that meant the Auburn University campus in Auburn, Alabama played host to the 31-strong Dolphin Paralympic swimming squad for the past few weeks. But, it wasn’t all work and no play, as the paraswimmers display in their own High School Musical jam. Catch Tiffany Thomas Kane, Ashleigh McConnell and Monique Murphy, among others, as they lip sync to the pop tunes, while energetic teammates show off their dance moves.

The entire crew involved in the production is as follows:

Tiffany Thomas Kane
Kate Watson
Lakeisha Patterson
Rachel Watson
Maddie Elliott
Ashleigh McConnell
Monique Murphy
Prue Watt
Matt Levy

Be sure to catch all of the Paralympic action in Rio, as the Games kick-off on September 7th and run until September 18th. This year’s ticket sales set a new record. 133,000 tickets were sold last Tuesday, August 23, and on Wednesday 145,000 tickets were sold. Both numbers crushed the record for the most tickets sold in one day, which was previously 123,000 tickets.
