The 13-14 girls from the Greater Tampa Swim Association have broken the 200 yard medley relay state record for the 13-14 age group. The team of Reagan Flynn, Carin Sanchez, Ella Marlow, and Ella Bathurst combined for a 1:47.28 at the GTSA Speedo Swim Classic meet this past weekend in Tampa. That both breaks the Florida Swimming LSC record of 1:48.03 and is faster than the Florida Gold Coast Swimming LSC record, making it a true ‘state record’ of sorts.
Splits:
- Flynn – 27.17
- Sanchez – 31.95
- Marlow – 24.74
- Bathurst – 23.42
The relay includes Ella Marlow, who previously was a National Age Group Record holder int he 11-12 50 LCM fly.
The record they broke belonged to a 2015 Gator Swim Club relay that included current USA National Junior Team member Isabel Ivey.
