Wow, that’s a great time! I was wondering why she had a seed time faster than the (previous) world record, and of course SwimSwam to the rescue…https://staging2.swimswam.com/16-year-old-gia-pergolini-clears-wps-world-record-swim-wont-be-ratified/

The Paralympic trials are happening at my home pool, although they don’t seem to be allowing spectators. I often do my work in the lobby of a hotel that’s right next to the pool, and it’s always great when there’s a big meet here. Swimmers/coaches/fans just descend on the area, and half of the conversations I overhear are about swimming something or other. Good luck to everyone competing this weekend!
