First Asiad Swimming Medal Winner Khajan Singh Tokas, CRPF DIG Ki Post Se Dismiss

CRPF ke Deputy Inspector General (DIG) ko unki post se dismissed kar Diya Gaya hai q ki unke upar kisi Central Police Force ki hi women personnel ne  sexual misconduct levelled ka charge lagaya hai, officials ne news agency PTI se Saturday ko kaha.

DIG aur former chief sports officer of the CRPF Khajan Singh ke against ek presidential order nikala gaya “dismissal from service” ke liye May 30 ko aur ye order May 31st se effective rahega.

Singh ne India ke liye First Asian Medals jeeta tha swimming mein is tournament ke 1986 year Wale edition mei Jo ki Seoul mei hua tha. Singh ne 200m butterfly event mein Silver medal jeeta tha. Singh ke service ke dismissal ka final order toh tab aaya jab CRPF ne inhe last ke few months mein two show-cause notices serve kiya.

Ye notices Union Ministry Of Home Affairs (MHA) aur Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) ke approval ke baad hi send Kiya gaya tha.

Singh Jo ki Navi Mumbai mei CRPF ke western sector ke under posted the unhone in sabhi allegations ko “absolutely false” bataya hai aur kaha hai ki ye sab unki “image” ko spoil karne ke liye Kiya Jaa Raha hai.

Unhe show-cause notices tab hi serve ki gai jab MHA ne UPSC ki recommendation accept Kiya Jo ki banai gai thi CRPF ke hi dwara ki gai ek internal probe ke bases par aur isme Singh ko “guilty” paaya gaya tha unke upar lage huye sexual harassment levelled par Jo ki kuch saalo pahle lagaya gaya tha, PTI ne kaha. Reportedly wo 2 cases mei charges face kar rahe hai.
