The second stop of the inaugural FINA Champions Swim Series got underway Saturday in Budapest, Hungary. Photographer Rafael Domeyko (domeykophotography.com) was on deck to catch all the action as Nicholas Santos took down the South American record in the 50 fly and Yuliya Efimova posted a world-leading 200 breast. Check out the photos below.

I have no interest in these meets. I find them to be completely contrived. Try having a real meet!
Only enough interest to be the first to comment.
@Ol’ Longhorn Where would you prefer me to express my thoughts on this series? This seems like the best place to open a discussion on the series.
Gotta support the pros in our sport! They are making ‘good’ money!
Earning money is a really important but a separate issue. How about a real meet with real prize money? This is a circus show.
You keep referring to a “real meet.” What’s a “real meet”? a 12 hour age group spectacular? 3 hour long prelims sessions and 2.5 hour finals sessions that only have a grand total of 20 minutes of actual racing? What makes those meet formats ‘real’ and not this one?
Yes, there should be prelims and finals. Who picked the participants and on what basis? Who was not invited? And why?
This is like ice dancing that tours the world after the Olympics. it is gross.
Nowhere?
I agree with your statement about the nature of these meets, but more than a half of yesterday’s races was fun to watch.
Today’s are working, too.
Don’t follow it. That’s so simple.
