It is Early Signing Day for the high school class of 2020. For the last year we have written nearly 600 articles -which is about 100 more than at this time last year- about prospective student-athletes who have made verbal commitments to swim or to dive for a college program. (We have another 150 or so to write, and we’re getting to them as fast as we can.) Many of those verbal commitments became contractual agreements today, as Wednesday, November 13, 2019 marked the official opening of signing season for the high school class of 2020.
The NCAA regulates when prospective student-athletes can sign a National Letter of Intent (NLI), which is the binding agreement between an athlete and an NLI member institution. In past years, there was a week-long “Early” Signing Period that began the second Wednesday in November, followed by a “Regular” Signing Period which stretched, for most sports, from February to August. Last year, the NCAA instituted changes to the recruiting timetable and the two signing periods have now been joined. You can see all the signing periods for the 2020-21 school year on the NLI website here.
While we are still adding scores of names to this database, here are the Class of 2020 swimming and diving commitments we have noted thus far:

Interesting to see Stanford pull in the most ranked commits on the men’s side with the new coaching team.
Obviously recruiting at the Farm is different to other schools due to the academics and straight monetary value of a scholarship, but it’s still suggests kids are buying into the new staff.
why isnt adam chaney committed
I heard that he’s committed, but isn’t announcing it. Granted I may be completely wrong but that’s what I read on another SwimSwam comment
Lots of swimmers don’t announce on SwimSwam
It’s down to Utah and BYU
Where did you grab this information?
fyi Cal Women announced earlier today the signing of Dane sprinter Emily Gantriis & a couple of divers
Didn’t know D3 schools also do NLI signing. Interesting
