In what has already been a meet of extraordinary events, a failure to remove the backstroke wedge mid-race gave California sophomore Daniel Carr a re-swim opportunity in the 100 backstroke that carries serious consequences in the team race.
Why didnt Felix A get a second chance to swim when he missed finals in the 500 free? or is it just like a CAL/ Patriots thing getting an unfair advantage
He was seeded 1st, went up 9 seconds, and finished 35th. My guess is if Felix was given another opportunity to swim it, he would have probably said no thanks.
Obviously he doesn’t get to reswim it because an official didn’t make a mistake that affected his swim in a negative manner.
It’s also clear that you’re either obtuse (Shawshank Redemption) or just trying to stir up something on the message board. Maybe a little of both.
The irony of this is that your precious Tom Brady, a Michigan Wolverine, is THE New England Patriot
I’m a Durden fan – USA in 2020! Just one recommendation: Sperry Top-Sider Men’s Sea Kite Sport Boat Shoe
Congrats to the Bears!
I am now a fan of Coach Durden. He was honest and transparent during the competition and this interview. So glad the outcome was positive for the athlete.
Coach Durden seems to understand the power of expressing genuine excitement (showing) when a swimmer overcomes a challenging situation – it was truly inspiring to watch – It separates the good coaches from the great ones. Cal will win it…
Very nice interview.
Observation: if Brad Pitt didn’t color his hair, you could say that Durden looks a bit like Brad Pitt.
