Diver Haley Tomlinson Verbally Commits to University of Vermont

Haley Tomlinson, a senior at Walter Johnson High School in Bethesda, Maryland, has opted to dive for the University of Vermont next year. “I was first drawn to Vermont because of the school and the beautiful town of Burlington. But when I met the coaches and the team I knew I really wanted to go there. They make it feel like one big family.”

Tomlinson has been diving for three years, after 6 years as a competitive gymnast. She dives Montgomery Dive Club on the National Team and is a two-time USA Diving zone qualifier (2014 and 2015). Tomlinson placed 8th on 3-meter at the 2015 AAU Red-White-Blue National Meet. Her high score in high school competition is 408.15 (11 dives), which she achieved while placing 8th at the 2015 Washington Metropolitan Swimming and Diving Championships. She was 7th in the Maryland State High School Diving Championships in 2015.
