Great interview. Please do some 50FRs this year. I like that for Paris. Better schedule!
Such. A. Big. Fan.
Poised, confident, gracious, ambitious and intelligent…. oh yeah… and a world champion swimmer too.
Her patience with Coleman struggling to follow applied statistics a bonus π
Not that she does or should read any of these comments…
But she should look into Biostatistics.
Medical research is an interesting and rewarding place to apply advanced statistical analysis (only getting more complex and challenging with huge data repositories and AI)
Good segment regarding that medley semifinal. It made me nervous also.
Itβs time to bring Bob Bowman to the pod.
“what is your approach to the backstroke leg?”
(Why does the entire field catch and pass you in the backstroke leg and how will you stop that from continuing to happen).
I remember all the Aussies calling her a bathtub specialist when she already had an Olympic bronze
Not me. Big Kate Douglass fan. I also think those people were not all Australians.
You’re right
I’m Australian and I think Kate Douglass is great for the sport. A 200 Breaststroker who is now established as your No.1 100 metre freestyle sprinter. Its intriguing to follow her progress.
Yes, ALL Australians said that. Not just a few trolls, but ALL of them.
Just like ALL Americans called for the IOC to sanction Cate Campbell for ‘xenophobia’. And ALL Americans called for an investigation into Qin Haiyang for no reason. And ALL Americans called for an investigation into MOC because you’re not allowed to break a WR a month after a slight knee injury.
pretty, smart, and one of the best athletes in the world. K8 has a great future shaping up. Curious how many long course practices she can get in though. Maybe im overthinking it but going into an Olympic year, I would think she has to focus primarily on the long pool. Also curious about her swimming off events in racing to make her IM faster.
good interview, kate seems to have a very healthy relationship with swimming and to have a lot of fun. A pity no more interesting questions there is a lot to ask him.
I would like to have known your opinion on many issues such as Kaylee’s disqualification or the performance of many swimmers.
but I loved listening to her, she looks very comfortable, she has an incredible talent
