Katherine Harston of Littleton, Colorado has verbally committed to New Mexico State University class of 2021. Harston specializes in mid-distance freestyle and butterfly.

Harston swims for Heritage High School and Aces Swim Club in Littleton under Tom Boyrick and Eric Craven. At the 2016 CHSAA 5A State Championships last February, Harston finished seventh in the 200 free (1:54.63) and sixth in the 500 free (5:09.67). She also contributed to Heritage’s 200 and 400 free relays, anchoring with 24.77 and 53.57, respectively.
In club swimming she gravitates to the 200 fly, and has been a finalist in the event at the USA Swimming Futures Championships the last two summer in a row. Harston competed in the 200/500 free, 50/100/200 fly and 200 IM at the 2016 Dolfin Junior National Championship Cup; she placed sixth in the 200 fly.
