November 15th, 2022 College, News

Did someone say Midseason Season? It’s FINALLY here. There will be plenty of fast swimming this week so be sure to follow along as we have daily updates from midseasons. Not all of the teams are competing in their midseason invites this week as some will compete after Thanksgiving.

Almost all of the top 12 teams we previewed at the beginning of the season will be competing this week though. Stanford, NC State, and Arizona State will be at the Wolfpack Invite. Duke will also be a team to watch as the women are led by Sarah Foley and the freshmen class.

Tennessee will host defending NCAA Champs on the women’s side of Virginia, and fellow top-12 team Michigan will also be in attendance. Ohio State will host fellow top-12 teams Virginia Tech, Kentucky, and Indiana.

The Art Adamson Invite will be home to Alabama, and Maggie MacNeil will be one to watch for as she suits up for LSU.

There are a few dual meets this week still, with most being Ivy League and mid-majors on the East Coast.

I see that Georgia has a Livestream of their invite. Any other live streams for the bigger meets this weekend? Kind of insane to me that every meet doesn’t have at least a phone streaming the meet.
Would love to be able to see the NC State meet

On the question of streams, why don’t more teams stream their meets? Is it simply due to media rights? Seems like teams would want to be able to stream for parents to watch their swimmers, easy recruiting add-on as it appears most teams do not stream their meets.

CSU Magnus Cup is listed on here twice, and you are missing Xavier from one of the lists, plus a couple D2 and D3 teams.
