HAMILTON, N.Y.—Mark S. Randall Head Swimming and Diving Coach Ed Pretre has made his first hire, as he named Dana Grindall an assistant on his staff.
The Wisconsin grad comes to Hamilton after she spent the past two years in Las Vegas as an educator at Teach For America and the Swim Coach at Western High School, while she earned a Master of Education degree at UNLV. She also served as a camp counselor for Penn State Athletics this past summer and helped develop young swimmers. 39625
“I am so excited to be joining the Colgate Family!” said Grindall. “I am honored to be part of a program that prides itself in both academics and athletics.”
During her time as a Badger in Madison, she was a two-time Olympic Trials qualifier, Big Ten Champion, First Team All-Big Ten member, All-American in 2015 and she broke the school record in the 200-yard Butterfly. She also served as a team captain for the 2016-17 campaign.
