Catie DeLoof is the next of the DeLoof swimming family to verbally commit to the Michigan Wolverines. She will be the 3rd sister out of 4 to come through the Michigan program.
DeLoof is a sprint freestyler and backstroker primarily, like her sisters. In yards, she has bests of:
- 50 free – 23.60
- 100 free – 50.10
- 200 free – 1:52.78
- 100 back – 56.05
- 200 back – 2:07.47
She also has been 1:03.30 in the 100 backstroke, which is a Summer Nationals qualifying time.
As compared to sisters Ali and Gabby, who are a freshman and a junior, respectively, this season, Catie is a better freestyler and not quite as good of a backstroker at this point of her career.
Catie swims for Pointe Aquatics and Grosse Pointe South High School in Michigan. She was the 2012 Michigan Division II High School State Champion in the 50 free, swimming a 23.66.
