ERIE, Pa. – Cassidy Preste has been named the Penn State Behrend swimming and diving assistant coach for the 2024-25 season.
Preste comes to Behrend after spending two seasons as a swimming and diving graduate assistant at Westminster. She was responsible for student-athlete recruitment and assisting with travel and team operations. Preste also helped develop training regimens and monitored practices. Beyond the pool deck, she has enhanced the Titans’ dryland program and managed Westminster’s swimming camps and clinics.
Preste was a four-year member of the women’s swimming and diving team at Misericordia University from 2018-22 and served as a two-time captain during the 2020-22. She swam the breaststroke on the winning 200 medley relay at the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships in 2022 and was a finalist at the MAC Championships in the 100 and 200 breaststroke from 2018-22.
Preste earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a specialization in sports management in May 2022 from Misericordia and a master’s degree in business administration from Westminster in May 2024. As an undergraduate, she taught basic swimming skills and water safety instruction to children in the Back Mountain community and individuals connected with the Autism Center at Misericordia. Preste was also involved in organizing and developing safe swim lessons for children on campus while assisting first-time instructors leading individual groups in small-group lessons.
