The 2013-2014 Cal men’s and women’s swim teams will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks 7 times this coming season, culminating with the Pac-12 Championships on late February and early March.
Following in the footsteps of the Big Ten Network, the only other conference-dedicated television channel, the Pac-12 Networks have picked up 7 meets of the Golden Bears’ for this season.
That will begin in January on the 24th and 25th, as Cal welcomes in Arizona State (Friday) and Arizona (Saturday). Next, the women’s duals against UCLA and Stanford on February 1st and 15th will play live, on the road, followed by the men’s Stanford rivalry meet in Palo Alto on February 22nd.
The television season will wrap with tape-delayed packages for both Pac 12 Championship meets: the women will air on February 26th, while the men will go on March 5th.
The Pac-12 Networks are a series of regional networks, plus one “national” network, serving the members of the Pac-12 conference. It also features an online component, and is wholly owned by the Pac 12 Conference – a relative rarity.
Earlier this month, the Pac-12 Networks entered into an agreement to carry Pac-12 Networks on AT&T U-Verse (national feed on Channel 759, Regional channels on 760 and 761). They now have agreements with most of the national television carries, including Time Warner, Comcast, Cox Communications, Bright House Networks, and Dish Network, with DirecTV being the lone remaining hold out.
Though often televised collegiate duals are of fairly limited interest, with Missy Franklin (and Ryan Murphy for that matter) swimming at Cal, these meets could draw a fair amount of national attention as well.

I guess I need to switch my DirctTV to Comcast!!
Isn’t Cal’s first meet (men and women) today? It would be great to get some coverage of the results.
I have no convenient way of getting all these into my iCalendar, could you guys possibly post the meets just before each date? Thanks.
This is awesome, thanks. Murphy isn’t anywhere near being a national draw yet, but Franklin is, especially if they advertise it. Can’t wait.
