Kendall Moffitt of Paso Robles, CA will remain in-state and swim for California Lutheran University beginning in the fall of 2021, which is nestled in Thousand Oaks, a suburb just outside of Los Angeles. Moffitt swims club for North County Aquatics and does her high school swimming at Paso Robles High School.
Cal Lutheran has everything I was looking for in a college and swim team. It is a beautiful campus filled with many kind and dedicated students. I am so excited to see what the future holds for me and the Cal Lutheran swim and dive team!
Although swim meets have been heavily restricted in California since early 2020, Moffit competed recently for Paso Robles at the CIF Central Section meet in May of 2021. She popped a new best time in the 100 fly, dipping under a minute for the first time, which landed her ninth in the consolation final. In the 500 free, her other individual event, she was just off her personal best of 5:09, still earning her fifth place. Moffit also anchored both the 200 medley and 400 free relays, with times of 25.17 and 53.99, respectively.
She will be a versatile athlete for Cal Lutheran, with projected leading times on the 19-20 roster in the 100-1650 free, and a second-ranked time in the 50. Moffit can extend her talents to other strokes as well, with top-ranked times in the 100 and 200 fly, and in both IM distances.
Top Times SCY:

- 100 Free- 55.71
- 200 Free- 1:57.08
- 500 Free- 5:09.95

Cal Lutheran competes in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, alongside eight other D3 schools. In the 2020 edition of their conference championships, which was hosted by Cal Lutheran, the Regals placed seventh out of nine teams. The combined Claremont-Mudd-Scripps College took the women’s title that year, almost 100 points ahead of the combined Pomona-Pitzer program.
At the conference level, Moffit would have qualified for an A-final slot in the 500 free, as well as B-final berths in the 200 free, 100 fly, 200 fly, and 400 IM.
