Bryant’s Alaina Scifo Goes Back to Back with NEC Weekly Honors

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University women’s swimming and diving junior Alaina Scifo (Ipswich, Great Britain) was named the Northeast Conference Swimmer of the Week on Tuesday.

Scifo picks up her second-straight weekly honor after she posted two individual victories and played a part in two more relay victories to help the Black and Gold beat Vermont for the first time in program history.

In winning the 100 and 200 back, Scifo posted times that rank in the top three in the NEC this season. Scifo’s time of 2:05.51 in the 200 back is the fastest in the NEC this season, while her time of 58.63 in the 100 back ranks third.

In addition, senior Jillian Rice (Trumbull, Conn.) was named an NEC Prime Performer after winning all three sprint free events for the second-straight meet.
