The University of Florida has received two high-level verbal commitments this week. In addition to the pledge from Hungary’s Liliána Szilágyi, the Gators got a “yes” from Rachel Ramey on Wednesday.
“Florida felt like home from the start. I really connected with the team and coaches, I loved the campus and the emphasis on academics. Overall I know Florida is the best place for me to grow as a student, athlete and person. I can’t wait to start next year as a Florida Gator!!”
Ramey is a senior at Heritage High School in Frisco, Texas. A USA Swimming Scholastic All-American, Ramey led the Coyotes to an 11th-place team finish at the 2016 Texas 5A State Championships.
