University of Missouri men’s swimming and diving has picked up Bolles School team captain, Brazil’s Caio Batista, for the 2015-16 season.
“I’m looking forward to swimming at Mizzou with Coach Rhody to seeing how my academic career will progress. I like the team atmosphere, which is a little similar to what we have at Bolles.”
Batista specializes in mid-distance freestyle, and was a finalist at the FHSAA 2013 Florida State Championships in the 500 free and 100 back. His best times are:
- 200y free: 1.40.78 / 200m free: 1.56.06
- 500y free: 4.33.73 / 400m free: 4.08.77
- 100y back: 51.63 / 100m back: 59.68
- 200y back: 1.52.25 / 200m back: 2.08.29
Batista is part of a strong recruiting class that also includes:
