The Boston College women’s swim team placed first in a dual meet with Keene, 188-96. The men defeated Keene, 188-88, and Maine, 195-94.5 this weekend at Chestnut Hill.

- The women took first through fifth in the 400 yd. IM with the first three finishers under 4:50. Emily Mann took first (4:44.74) followed by Kristina Fecarotta in second (4:48.15), Abigail Kordell in third (4:49.55), Maria Russo in fourth (4:54.11) and Megan Fuqua in fifth (4:58.16).
- Taylor Cortens took three seconds off of his career dual meet best time in the 400 yd. IM, clocking in at 4:02.56 and taking first place.
- Erika Freeman, Madeline Simone and Amanda Bieler took first, second and third in the 200 yd. freestyle, clocking in at 1:56.71, 2:02.81 and 2:03.14.
- The women swept the 50 yd. freestyle with Julie Dobson in first (24.80), Lauren Quinn in second (25.00), Victoria Lin in third (25.49), Rachel Emodi in fourth (25.67), Elizabeth Canning in fifth (25.76) and Claudia Brady in sixth (26.10).
- Co-captains Conor Chamness and Josh Williams tied for first in the 100 yd. backstroke with a time of 52.11.
- The men swept in the 100 yd. freestyle with Colin Derdeyn in first (47.97), McKenzie Cole in second (48.58), Cole Vanderwel in third (49.22), Kieran Fitzpatrick in fourth (49.26) and Michael Hinton in fifth (49.45).
- Daniel Creighton, Connor Futch and Kyle Zariello took first, second and third in the 200 yd. backstroke, each turning in best dual meet times of 1:57.04, 1:58.77 and 2:00.81.
- Madeline Mailliard took first in the 200 yd. backstroke (2:13.46) followed by Hope Dragelin in second (2:14.13), Mary Fizsimmons in third (2:14.66), Katherine Karle in fourth (2:15.83), Kelsey Holmes in fifth (2:16.56) and Elizabeth Canning in sixth (2:16.89).

The Eagles compete next at the Terrier Invitational hosted by Boston University. The meet will start on Friday November 18th and run through Sunday November 20th.

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Led by multiple first-place finishes, the Keene State men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs competed against host Boston College and the University of Maine on Friday evening.

Men’s Highlights
- Ryan Boraski continued his dominance in the pool, as the senior led off the 200 medley relay with a swim of 20.41, which ties for the fastest time of a 50 free in NCAA Division III. Borakski, along with Eric King, Graham Lott, and Nathan Shepard finished the race in 1:27.74.
- Boraski returned to the pool to earn victories in the 50 free in 20.55 and the 200 free in 1:41.88, defeating both Boston College and University of Maine swimmers. Borask’s 500 free swim lifts him to the third best time in Division III and the 200 free race holds as the fastest time in Division III.
- Kyle Shadeck had strong performances against Maine, as the freshman won the 400 IM and the 200 fly, in 4:19.23 and 2:00.44, respectively. Shadeck’s 400 IM time ranks ninth in Division III.
- Against Maine, Shepard swam the fastest time in the 100 breaststroke in 58.84, while King touched the wall first in the 200 back in 2:01.98.
- The Owls fell to both Boston College, 188-88, and to the University of Maine, 166-121.
Women’s Highlights
- Sophie Hayes swam the 200 fly in 2:15.86 for a second-place finish.
- Hope Walsh took second in the 500 free with a time of 5:21.37.
- The women only competed against swimmers from Boston College, as the Eagles defeated the Owls, 188-96.
