Runa Imai

Runa Imai is a competitive swimmer that represents Japan internationally.

2016 Olympic Games

In Rio, Imai swam the 200 IM, where she qualified 11th in the prelims and swam to 15th overall in the semi finals.

2018 Short Course World Championships

In Hangzhou, Imai won her first major international medal, garnering a silver behind Katinka Hosszu in  the 100 IM (57.85).

2019 Universaide

At the 2019 World University Games in Naples, Imai scored a bronze medal in the 200 IM, touching in 3rd with a time of 2:12.25.

2022(3) Asian Games (Hangzhou, China)

Imai took bronze in the 200 breast with a 2:26.4
