Colby College Swimming and Diving
2012-2013
Though not a distance swimmer in her career prior to coming to Mayflower Hill, PJ became one of the teams top distance competitors. She had a shortened season due to illness but still had a program Top-20 time in the 1000 Free.
2013-2014
Coming off her rookie season, PJ embraced her new life as a distance freestyler becoming a regular scorer during the dual meet schedule. Though she lost the middle of the season due to an injury, she was back in time for the season finale. At NESCAC championships, PJ competed in the 1650 free, coming from behind in her heat and scoring in the top 24. It was easily the most exciting race of the middle season of day 2 at the meet.
2014-2015
PJ spent the first half of the season studying abroad in Dijon, France at the University of Bourgogne. She came back in time for the team’s Puerto Rico training trip and finished the season as a key contributor.
Personal
PJ’s first full season of swimming for Colby will come in her senior year. It would seem the stars are aligning and serendipity will grace her curtain call. She is a passionate fan of meatloaf, advocating for its inclusion as a staple food for the next generation of high-performance athletes.
