2018-2019
Nyls came into NC State as an elite sprinter already, and only got better. At his 1st ACC Championships, he placed 4th in the 50 free (19.37) and 9th in the 100 fly (45.62). He was also part of the ACC champion 200 medley relay and 400 medley relays and runner-up 200 free relay.
At the NCAA’s, he was a member of the runner-up 200 free relay and 400 free relay and 3rd place 200 medley relay. Individually, Korstanje finished 12th in the 50 free (19.18), 13th in the 100 free (42.49) and 19th in the 100 fly (45.80).
For his accomplishments, he was named Atlantic Coast Conference Freshman of the Year.
2019-2020
Myls continued his success at NC State his sophomore year, taking ACC titles in both the 50 (19.25) and 100 free (42.15). He also placed 3rd in the 100 fly (45.47).
