Nick Killeen
Born Sept. 6, 1993 to parents, Liam and Marjie, Nick Killeen is a swimmer at the University of Michigan. Killeen specializes in freestyle, and he’s majoring in business administration, with a focus in Marketing, in the Ross School of Business. He’s currently in his junior at Michigan, where he’s been a two-time Academic All-Big Ten athlete. Killeen is originally from Wilmette, Ill., Killeen graduated from New Trier High School, and his mother, Marjie, graduated from Michigan. He competed much of his life for the YWCA Flying Fish, a team he was voted swimmer of the year five times. Killeen has always worked hard in the classroom too, being named to the Honor Roll in high school and invited as a member of the German Honor Society. While at Michigan, Killeen has held the title of Academic Captain – setting up academic progress meetings and leading his team to high cumulative GPA’s. He’s also worked as a Marketing Intern as well as a Counselor and a Lifeguard. Killeen is a big fan of global superstar, Lady Gaga, and he once met her on an elevator.

Michigan
2012-2013
As a freshman Killeen received the U-M Athletic Academic Achievement award. He competed in three events at the Purdue Invitational.

2013-2014
Killeen did not compete at the Big Ten Championships his sophomore season, but he competed in the dual meet season. At the Michigan Open he finished third in multiple events.

2014-2015
Killeen is currently in his junior season as a Michigan Wolverine. He focused on the AT&T Winter Nationals, swimming two events, and he also competed in the dual meet season. At the meet against Indiana, Texas and Louisville he exhibitioned two events.

National Competition
Competing for New Trier, and coached by Mark Onstott, Killeen set freshman team records in the 150 freestyle, 300 freestyle, 500 freestyle, 200 freestyle relay and the 400 freestyle relay. At the state championships, his highest finish was fourth in the 500 freestyle.

Killeen also competed at the Speedo Junior National Championships in both 2010 and 2011.
