Post-meet, to the surprise of few, he announced he was moving to train at SMU. Earlier this month, Fink’s wife, fellow Olympian and former University of Georgia teammate Melanie Margalis Fink, was announced as the new assistant coach for the SMU women’s swim team.

That’s great. And Nicolò is also celebrating. I’m like, wait a minute ‘1, 2, 3’? Oh, he’s also second too!”  Fink, Kamminga, and Marinenghi all tied for 2nd in 58.72, 1.03 seconds back of Qin and all off their bests.
