Luca Pizzini is a competitive swimmer that competes for Italy Internationally.

2013 World Championships

In Barcelona at his first world championships, Pizzini swam prelims of the 200 breaststroke, where he finished 18th (2:11.93), just outside of qualifying for semi finals.

2014 European Championships

At Euro’s in 2014, Pizzini made the final of the 200 breast, where he finished 6th overall in a time of 2:10.93.

2015 World Championships

At his 2nd world championships, Pizzini qualified 15th in prelims of the 200 breaststroke, making it to semi finals. In semis, he swam a 2:11.05 to place 15th overall.

2016 Olympic Games

At age 27, Pizzini went to his first Olympics, where he swam the 200 breast. In prelims, he finished 16th with a 2:11.26, qualifying for semi finals. In semis, Pizzini added .27 to his prelims time, but finished 14th overall.

2017 World Championships

At age 28 at his 3rd world championships, Pizzini swam to a personal best of 2:09.86 in the prelims of the 200 breast, placing 6th overall to move onto semi finals. In semis, he went another personal best of 2:08.95, but fell just short of finals, placing 9th overall.

2018 European Championships

After cruising the prelims in 2:10.12 and moving onto semi finals, Pizzini dropped another personal best in the 200 breast at age 29, going 2:08.52 and qualifying 2nd going into finals. In the final heat, Pizzini went 2:08.54, just off his semi time but good enough to earn him 3rd place and a bronze medal.
