High School (Fossil Ridge)
Coming out of high school, Alons was an 8-time CHSAA champion in the 50 free, 100 free, 200 medley relay and 400 free relay. She was a member of the national high school record breaking 200 medley relay and an Academic All-American.
Alons wasn’t ranked on the first iteration of SwimSwam’s Top 20 NCAA Recruits for the class of 2018, but did make Honorable Mention on our Re-rank of the class. On May 5, 2017, Alons announced her verbal commitment to NC State.

Alons was an immediate impact scorer for the wolfpack. At the ACC Championships, she placed 3rd in the 50 free (21.81), 4th in the 100 fly (51.79) and 5th in the 200 fly (1:55.33). She was also part of the ACC champion 200 free relay, which set an ACC meet and pool record (1:26.15), and the title winning 400 medley relay, as well as the runnerup 400 free relay and 4th place 800 free relay.
At the NCAA Championships, Alons was a member of the 3rd place 200 medley relay, 4th place 400 medley relay, 5th place 200 free relay, and 10th place 400 free relay teams. Individually, she finished 8th in the 50 free (21.89), 12th in the 200 back (1:52.34) and 19th in the 100 fly (52.12).
